The term “Mirabilia” comes from the Latin word “mirabilis” and indicates a genre of the Medieval Latin Literature included in the periegetica and travel literature.
The Mirabilia were nothing but the equivalent of modern travel guide books, used by pilgrims and travelers for their journeys.
We chose the name MIRABILIA DOLOMITI because the project aims to be a reference for tourists for the discovery of the high craftsmanship and the natural wonders of the Province of Belluno, just as the medieval Mirabilia.
